Mystic is a picturesque seaside community nestled into the southeast corner of Connecticut. Known best for its significant maritime influence, over 600 ships have been built in the area since 1784. Mystic is made up of two towns, Groton and Stonington, which are separated by the tranquil Mystic River. Its iconic drawbridge allows boats to travel up and down the waterway by raising its two 230 ton concrete-filled counterweights.
